1.) Electrician
Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Reports to: Cell Manager
Job Summary
The Electrician will minimize downtime and maximize availability and OEE by providing top-tier electrical support to SMD and FRMD production machines, maintaining best practices, cost-effectiveness, hygiene, and a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Offer technical support to SMD and FRD production equipment.
- Ensure prompt electrical maintenance for maximum efficiency.
- Train electro-technical staff to boost technical competency.
- Reduce electrical downtime monthly across the Cell.
- Implement downtime analyses for SMD machines.
- Ensure compliance with EHS audits and guard installations.
- Respond to technical call-outs from SMD Cell Managers.
- Capture and resolve daily electrical issues.
- Maintain up-to-date checks and reports.
- Fix faults immediately upon occurrence.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc in Electrical and Electronics (minimum Upper Credit or Second Class).
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience.
- Knowledge of GD121, AF12, X2, X3, XW systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with IWS is essential.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills.

2.) Packing Technician

Job Description
The Packing Technician will maintain and service packing equipment, manage breakdowns, and train operators and technicians across all packing machines on the SMD floor.
Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal and consistent performance of packing machines.
- Assist with major breakdowns and machine installation projects.
- Maintain product quality and minimize leaf and WM waste.
- Lead technical initiatives related to packers across the floor.
- Train and assess operators and technicians on packing equipment.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical production experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of AM14, S90, X2, X3, XW machines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in technical training, fault finding, and maintenance.

3.) Electrical Specialist

Job Description
The Electrical Specialist will work to prevent breakdowns on SMD machinery and ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency by delivering superior electrical maintenance and support in line with best practices and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-house training to improve staff technical abilities.
- Support production machines across SMD and other BAT facilities.
- Deliver efficient electrical maintenance for maximum machine availability.
- Plan and manage spare parts for preventative maintenance.
- Use downtime analysis to drive maintenance improvements.
- Conduct and document regular cleaning and maintenance of SMD machines.
- Lead technical sections of Projects and NPI initiatives.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years’ hands-on experience with production machines.
- Knowledge of cigarette making and packing machinery preferred.
- Mandatory experience with PLC systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Siemens and electrical programming.
