Job Purpose
Help the General Manager of Strategy to create and follow the plan for Postbank. Make sure all parts of the bank work together well. Watch the business scorecards and make reports. Be the main contact for everything about business plans, scorecards, and working with others to check how Postbank is doing.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Strategy: Help the General Manager with plans and services for the bank.
- Align Business: Make sure all parts of Postbank follow the main plan.
- Scorecards: Create scorecards to check if Postbank meets its goals.
- Set Targets: Help set goals for scorecard metrics.
- Identify Initiatives: Work with PMO to find key projects.
- Data Collection: Ensure good quality data collection for all metrics.
- Track Performance: Follow important metrics and make monthly and quarterly reports.
- Review Metrics: Have monthly meetings to check performance and make quarterly reports.
- Fix Issues: Identify problems with scorecard performance and work with others to solve them.
- Year-End Review: Hold meetings to review yearly performance.
- Project Management: Manage and communicate the annual scorecard and goal-setting process.
- Cross-Departmental Work: Collaborate with IT, HR, and Finance to ensure alignment.
Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge
Qualification:
- Post Graduate degree in business or finance (NQF8) – MBA preferred
Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of business experience
- At least 5 years in business strategy formulation
- 3 to 5 years in developing and using balanced scorecards
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Knowledge:
- Best practices in balanced scorecards
- Banking practices and risk management
- Government acts like PMFA, ECT, and Banks Act
- Strategy development and retail banking
- Knowledge management tools
- Broad view of business, strategy, processes, and governance
- Model-based representations for complex information
- Experience in business and IT initiatives planning and deployment
