To see if you have been pre-selected for the Computer Based Tests (CBT), follow these steps:
- Visit the Official Portal: Go to the official Abia State teachers’ shortlisted portal at abiastate.gov.ng.
- Scroll Down: Move down to the middle of the homepage.
- Find “Shortlisted Candidates”: Under “Shortlisted Candidates,” click on “View Full List.”
- Check Your Selection: Click on the date that corresponds with the position you applied for to see if you have been selected.
Additionally, the Abia State Education Board will notify all successful candidates via their registered e-mail addresses.
Make sure to check your e-mail regularly for updates on the Abia State teachers screening date and centers.

- Screening Details: Take note of your screening date, batch, CBT venue, and time. If you fail to report to the screening center within the stipulated time, it will be assumed that you have declined the offer.

- Two recent passport photographs
- A file jacket
- A recognized means of identification and its photocopy (Driver’s License, National ID Card, NIN, International Passport, or Voter’s card)
- A printed copy of the response to your online application
- Educational certificates (Primary Six School Leaving Certificate, Senior Secondary School Certificate, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.A (Ed), HND, OND, or NCE certificate from a recognized institution)
- Bank Verification Number (BVN)
