What is the AfDB Internship Program?

The AfDB Internship Program gives students the opportunity to learn and work alongside professionals at the Bank. Interns will gain valuable experience in areas that directly support the Bank’s Ten-Year Strategy (TYS) and focus on key areas for Africa’s development. Some of these areas include:

Who can apply?

To be eligible for the AfDB Internship Program, you must:

  • Be a citizen of an AfDB member country.
  • Be currently enrolled in a master’s program or have graduated within the last year.
  • Be between the age of 18 and 30 years old.
  • Be fluent in English or French (the Bank’s two working languages).
  • Have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
