Call for Interest: Support Fund (Belgium)

The International Organization for Migration (IOM – UN Migration) is inviting applications for a Support Fund.
This fund is to help organizations in a big way with new ideas related to many types of help for migrants. These ideas must focus on helping and giving information to migrants who need it most.

The Support Fund, by Conex, is to make organizations better at helping and telling migrants about help available. Conex gets its money from Fedasil, which helps people asking for international protection and others.
Main Focus Areas
This invitation is for projects in Belgium that work on any of these important areas:
- Emotional support for migrants, their communities, and those working directly with them.
- Making migrants and their communities stronger and less vulnerable.
- Telling migrants about their basic rights.
- Getting migrant communities involved by telling them about the help and protection available through activities.
- Increasing knowledge about the help available for migrants.

Money Details
There is €40,000 available for this call. Each chosen project will get between €2,000 and €8,000. The full cost will be covered, but projects that also use their own resources will be looked upon favorably. The chosen organizations must do their projects in 2024.
Possible Projects
Projects can include:
- Making migrant skills better for future jobs (like computer skills, small business training, language learning, etc.).
- Holding events with migrant groups to talk about help offered.
- Teaching about rights to shelter, support, food, and correct information.
- Doing cultural activities to talk about future plans.
- Doing emotional support activities (like mindfulness, managing stress, mental health talks, etc.) for migrants, their communities, and workers.
- Sharing information about all kinds of help and talking about it through activities (like cleaning, planting trees, sports, markets, etc.).

Who Can Apply
- Organizations in Belgium working in 2024.
- Must have experience helping migrants and be ready to do the activities in 2024.
- Must be ready to use their own resources for the activities. Must handle money properly, follow the highest ethical rules, and no bad behavior.
