NHIS Recruitment 2024/2025: General Requirements

To qualify for full-time employment at NHIS, you must meet these requirements:

Good Behavior: Applicants must demonstrate good behavior and composure.

Willingness to Adapt: Must be open to working in a new environment.

Valid Identification: All candidates must possess a valid means of identification such as a driver’s license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card, or NIN Number.

Team Spirit: Strong teamwork skills are essential.

NYSC Certificate: Applicants must have completed the NYSC program or possess an exemption certificate.

Professional License: A current license to practice issued by the relevant Regulatory Council is required.

Registration: Full registration with the relevant Regulatory Council is mandatory.

Post-Graduate Qualification: Possession of a post-graduate qualification in public health, family medicine, health planning and management, or equivalent is an added advantage, especially for higher positions.

Medical Laboratory Science: Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree or equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

Nursing Qualification: Qualified Nurse with a BNSc or equivalent, Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM), or other specialized areas of Nursing.

Pharmacy Qualification: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) degree or equivalent qualification recognized by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

Medical and Dental Qualification: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree, or their equivalent, recognized by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

Monitoring and Evaluation Skills: Experience and skill in monitoring and evaluation of healthcare services and facilities are desired.

Experience: For positions above the entry point for each cadre, an appropriate number of years with cognate experience is required.
